Union City Shooting Reported At Apartment Complex

The 37-year-old was listed in stable condition at an area hospital, police said. The shooting suspect fled the scene.

UNION CITY, CA — A 37-year-old man was shot early Monday at an apartment complex in Union City by a suspect, who fled the scene, according to authorities.

Officers were called to the shooting at 2:15 a.m. to Parc Medallion Apartments, on the 2500 block of Medallion Drive, where a male was found suffering from a single, non-life-threatening gunshot wound, the Union City Police Deaprtment said.

The person was transported to a local hospital, where he is listed in stable condition, the department said.

The suspect in the shooting fled the complex area prior to the police arrival, officials said, adding "This incident does not appear to be random, and there is no known risk to the public."
