Alameda PD Makes Arrest In 2021 Home Shooting
A 23-year-old from the Peninsula was arrested last week in a case of gunfire that struck an Alameda residence in September.

ALAMEDA, CA — A San Mateo man, 23, was arrested last week in connection with a September home shooting in Alameda, according to officials.
The suspect's name was not released by the Alameda Police Department, with the agency adding that the person was taken into custody "without incident" Wednesday.
The shooting was logged Sept. 20, shortly after 7 a.m., as officers responded to a gunfire report on Encinal and Park avenues, finding a residence struck with bullet holes.

"Thankfully, the homeowners were not present at the time of the incident," the department said.
"Through a collaborative effort with out-of-county agencies, a suspect was identified and an arrest warrant was issued," police said.

"Whether an incident occurred five minutes ago or five years ago, we are proud of the investment our department has in keeping our community safe and seeking closure for victims," the department said.
