No Garbage Pick-up Friday: Labor Dispute

UNION CITY, CA — If your garbage pickup day is Friday, you're stuck with your stinky cast-offs for another day. The garbage wasn't picked up because of a labor dispute at Republic Services.

The good news is that the garbage company will pick it up on Saturday, so just leave it at the curb overnight. That's true for both residential and commercial customers.

Recyclables were not impacted by the job action.

The City of Union City reports that the labor dispute has nothing to do with them, and apologized to residents and businesses for the inconvenience.
