Power Outage Prompted by Windstorm Affecting 2,100 East Bay Residents
Has your power been out during this storm?

There are about 7,500 customers still without power in the Bay Area this morning due to a strong windstorm, according to information released by PG&E. Officials said outages as of 5 a.m. include 2,900 in the Peninsula, 200 in the North Bay, 2,100 in the East Bay and 2,300 in the South Bay.
In all, about 180,500 customers were impacted in the Bay area and 302,000 were impacted system-wide, officials said. About 1,500 PG&E personnel have been working storm response and customer service restoration during the storm. Officials said unusual northeasterly winds have contributed to extensive damage to vegetation, which in turn has had an impact on the electrical infrastructure.
