Tip Leads To Arrest Of Man With Auto Burglary Tools, Drugs: Cops

Union City Police frequently share the phrase, "If you see something, say something." That's paid off with an arrest.

UNION CITY, CA — Union City Police arrested a man on suspicion of possession of burglary tools, drug paraphernalia, and a controlled substance. It happened as they investigated a report of suspicious activity at a parking garage.

At 4 a.m. Saturday, a security company notified police that a man was walking around the parking garage trying the door handles of cars, and provided police with a description of the suspect.

Investigating officers found the man on the second floor of the garage, crouched between two cars.

Police say the man had a small crowbar, tools, a drug pipe and suspected methamphetamine on him when arrested.
