UCPD Warns About Phony Workers Snooping Around Homes
Two people wearing official vests were found in a backyard this week.

UNION CITY, CA — Union City Police are warning residents about phony workers entering backyards.
A resident of the Brookstone neighborhood reported that two women wearing East Bay Regional Parks yellow vests were walking around in her backyard. When she asked them what they were doing, they told her they were looking for poisonous citrus trees.
East Bay Regional Parks says their agency does not look for poisonous plants in people's yards, and these women were not their employees.
