Union City Homicide Victim ID'd

The man was a Union City resident.

UNION CITY, CA — The Union City Police Department has released the name of the victim of a homicide that took place on the 33800 block of 7th Street on Sunday evening, Dec. 5. The victim has been identified as Terelle Arlando Martin, a 35 year-old male from Union City.

According to a statement issued by the department, police offers were dispatched at 8:25 p.m. Sunday due to gunshots heard in the area, and additional callers confirmed that at least one person was shot.

Officers arrived on the scene at 8:29 p.m. and located a black male adult seated in the driver's seat of a vehicle parked on 7th Street. The victim and the vehicle were struck by numerous bullets, according the statement released by the department.

The victim was pronounced deceased at 8:47 p.m. by Alameda County Fire personnel.
