Union City Man ID'd In Deadly Peninsula Shooting
BREAKING: The man was found inside a Peninsula apartment complex over the weekend, police said.

UNION CITY, CA — A man who was shot to death inside of a Peninsula apartment complex has been publicly identified. San Mateo County coroner's officials say Dejohn La'shawne Jones was killed in the Saturday morning incident. He was just 24 and a resident of Union City.
The shooting occurred at an apartment building in the 500 block of Ralston Avenue around 5 a.m., Belmont police said Saturday.
"The victim... was found inside one of the apartments with a gunshot wound," Capt. Patrick Halleran said in a news release. "The victim was treated at the scene by Belmont Fire Department paramedics, but was pronounced deceased at the scene."

Officers who responded found several people outside, but the suspect was not located.
"Preliminary indications are that this is an isolated incident," Halleran said.
