Union City Road Work In December
Expect construction in multiple locations in December, causing delays.

UNION CITY, CA — We all love improved roads and hate the hassle of enduring construction delays. There will be plenty to hate over the next month.
Ongoing improvements on Alvarado-Niles Road between Almaden Boulevard and Royal Ann Drive will cause intermittent delays until mid-January.
Also in December, workers will be doing improvements at the intersection of Alvarado Boulevard and Dyer Street.

In both instances, the contractor is permitted to close lanes between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. only. Traffic signals will operate in all-red flash for limited times during the switch over to the new traffic signal system.

The above pothole was shared on the Patch Facebook page by reader Gigi Cabuntala Lanchinebre. She reports that it is on Union City Boulevard, in front of Felt Printing.

If you come across a pothole that needs repair, the city advises you to call the Public Services Department between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at (770) 306-6855. "We will have someone come out to access the problem within 24 hours. We may use temporary measures to patch until we have several areas that need to be asphalted. We normally asphalt 2-3 times per year."
Thank you for your input Gigi!
