• Vacaville carpet business opens recycling drop-off site (timesheraldonline.com) — Vacaville homeowners and contractors can now drop off old carpet for free recycling at Harry’s Carpets on set days, keeping bulky rolls out of local landfills. The newly certified site, part of California’s carpet stewardship program, also anticipates future demand as a 2029 state law will require carpet removal to be recycled.
   

• Tony Hawk's comment sparks playful invite from Vacaville police (thereporter.com) — Vacaville residents may soon see Tony Hawk if he accepts a playful video invitation from local police and skaters to visit the Three Oaks Community Center skate park. The lighthearted exchange grew from a theft investigation video that helped officers arrest a Vacaville man accused of stealing tools from a neighborhood work vehicle.
