Learn or brush up on hand-building skills. During weeks 1-3, students will create an oval soft slab textured planter with a textural design, a geometric slab teapot that may or may not be intended to be functional and, time permitting, a slab constructed bird house using sgraffito and applique techniques to complete the design. Those who throw may wish to incorporate thrown vessels into at least one of the projects. The final session is for glazing.
