Blaze Engulfs Venice Home
Firefighters battled an early morning blaze on South Penmar Avenue.

VENICE, CA — A fire engulfed a home in Venice early Tuesday morning. When firefighters arrived at the vacant home, they found it heavily involved in flames, said Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Amy Bastman said.
At 4:12 a.m., crews were called to the blaze in the 1800 block of South Penmar Avenue. It took 26 firefighters 20 minutes to put out flames inside the house, Bastman said.
Arriving firefighters reported the single-story home was well-involved in flames, Bastman said.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the blaze was under investigation.
