DUI Checkpoint Scheduled Across Los Angeles County

Police around Los Angeles County have schedule DUI checkpoints this weekend from Manhattan Beach to North Hollywood.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Police around Los Angeles County will be out in force over the weekend, holding DUI checkpoints and saturation patrols as the summer winds down.

The Los Angeles Police Department will hold several to DUI Checkpoints aimed at removing impaired drivers from the road. The checkpoints will be focused in locations with a higher frequency of DUI related collisions and arrests. .

According to the LAPD, 1,120 people were killed in alcohol-involved crashes on California roads in 2017. Last year, the LAPD investigated 1,937 DUI related traffic collisions which have claimed 13 lives and seriously injured 59 community members.
