Hand Bookbinding & Printing Classes in Mar Vista

Turn your words and your art into beautiful hand bound books. Make scrapbooks. Learn a new printing technique: Screen printing. Two workshops in MarVista will get you started.

Saturday, February 20 (9 am to 4 pm) - Long and Link Stitch Bindings. This non-adhesive structure combines elements of both long and link stitch bindings to create an amazing variety of stitching patterns. Instructor: Ann Covell. $175 plus a $25 materials fee, payable to the instructor.

Sunday, February 21 (9 am to 4 pm) - Screen Printing Workshop: Backyard Basics. The workshop will focus non-photographic printing using simple hand cut stencils or painting on screen that can easily be done at home. Bring a sense of play. Instructor: Lorna Turner. $175. All materials will be provided.

All classes take place at the BookArtsLA studios at 11720 Washington Place (at McLaughlin), Mar Vista, 90066.
