Man Shot Several Times In Venice, Shooter At Large

A man suffered multiple gunshot wounds in Venice Friday, but the motive for the shooting remains unknown.

VENICE, CA — A man was wounded late Friday afternoon in a shooting in Venice.

The victim, who is about 30 years old, was shot multiple times about 5:50 p.m. in the area of Pacific and Westminster avenues, according to Drake Madison of the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations Section.

He was taken to a hospital, but an update on his condition was not immediately available.

The suspect, who opened fire with a handgun, was described as an Hispanic man who is about 35 years old, 6 feet tall, 160 pounds with tattoos on his head, Madison said.

A possible motive for the shooting was not immediately known.
