Man Shot In Venice Alley

VENICE, CA — A man is in stable condition after being shot in a Venice alley Monday.

Witnesses reported hearing gunfire and a woman screaming shortly after midnight in the alley behind 111 Wavecrest Ave., according to Officer D. Orris of the Los Angeles Police Department

Police arrived to find a man, believed 40 to 45 years old, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital, where his vital signs were stable, Orris said.

Authorities released few details about the mysterious shooting. Details about his wounds and a suspect description were not available, Orris said.
