Mar Vista Homicide Prompts LAPD To Call For Public's Help
LAPD homicide detectives are asking for the public's help identifying a suspect in the death of a 50-year-old homeless man over the weekend.
LOS ANGELES, CA —Authorities are asking for help finding the suspect or suspects who killed a 50-year-old homeless man in the Mar Vista over the weekend.
The Los Angeles Police Department received a report of an unresponsive person at about 2:45 a.m. Sunday at Venice Boulevard and Wasatch Avenue. When they arrived, they found 50-year-old John Moreno, and paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
LAPD detectives are working the investigation as a homicide, but authorities did not release information about his manner of death.n.

Anyone with information about the case is urged to contact LAPD West Bureau Homicide at 213-382-9470. Calls made during non-business hours or on weekends can be directed to 877-527- 3247.
