Police Chase Closes 405 Freeway
The northbound San Diego (405) Freeway near Wilshire Boulevard was closed Monday afternoon.
LOS ANGELES, CA — The northbound San Diego (405) Freeway in the area of Wilshire Boulevard in West Los Angeles was closed as police took a pursuit suspect into custody Monday afternoon.
Authorities shut down traffic in the area shortly after 4: 10 p.m. when a pursuit ended in a crash, and a suspect fled the area on foot.
“We were chasing a reckless driver, and he crashed and bailed out,” said LAPD Officer Sal Ramirez.

Officers set up a perimeter in the area while searching for the suspect.
