Rite Aid Opens Drive-Thru Coronavirus Testing Sites In LA, OC

Nearly 100 Rite Aid locations will open drive-thru coronavirus testing in Los Angeles and Orange counties.

MAR VISTA, CA — Rite Aid is expanding its COVID-19 testing capacity with nearly 100 sites opening Thursday across California, including more than a dozen locations in Los Angeles and Orange counties.

Testing will be available by appointment for people 18 years of age or older, regardless of whether the person is experiencing symptoms, according to Rite Aid. Results are expected in three to five days, a company spokesperson said.

The sites will utilize self-swab nasal tests overseen by Rite Aid pharmacists and will operate weekdays from 10 a.m to 8 p.m., and weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Testing is available at no cost and is available to anyone 18 and older.

Patients must provide government-issued ID, be at least 18 and pre- register online at www.riteaid.com to schedule an appointment.

Rite Aid offers drive-thru testing in California, Oregon and Washington, and an increased number of locations in Idaho, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia.

There are no drive-thru testing sites yet at locations in Santa Monica or Venice, a company spokesperson told Patch.
