Sea•thos Features Michael deNicola for First Friday

The Sea•thos Foundation presents Michael deNicola in support of the upcoming First Friday and World Oceans Day.

The Sea•thos Foundation will feature artist and activist Michael deNicola's works for this week's First Friday. The organization's first time playing host to the Venice event will double as a celebration for next week's World Oceans Day.

The California native works in a numbers of mediums, including paints, resin and three-dimensional structures made of recycled surfboards. DeNicola has recently collaborated with Sea•thos in their plastic pollution awareness campaign to promote the reduction of plastic bottle use. His collage of plastic bottle waste, currently Sea•thos' window display, will be for sale Friday in addition to some of his more affordable works.

World Oceans Day is dedicated to awareness and sustainability in the world's oceans. Sea•thos members have recently visited local elementary schools in an effort to jumpstart children's environmental education about the impact of pollution, both locally and globally.
