Vitalize Your Brain! Workshop #1: 10/7/14

Studies show that controlling depression, engaging in intellectual pursuits and expressing creativity can help to slow or prevent the development of dementia as a person ages.

The Chuck Jones Center for Creativity, in collaboration with the Orange County Vital Brain Aging Program (OCVBAP), is proud to offer a series of fun, family-friendly evening workshops in October to engage you in various creative activities.

Dates: October 7, 14, 21 and 28

Time: 6-8pm on each evening

Location: Hoag Conference Center/Hoag Neurosciences Institute, Room 6

10/7/14 - Mixed-Media Portraits: Use a mix of materials to create a self-portrait. Materials include different textured paper, textiles and more!

10/14/14 -Step by Step Drawing: Learn to draw your favorite Looney Tunes characters, such as Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck! Your pencil can draw more than just a straight line!

10/21/14 - Animal Sculptures: Create your own animal sculptures with Model Magic. Don’t know what Model Magic is? Come and find out!

10/28/14 - Pastel-icious: Use the “creative crayon” to create your own masterpieces! Learn to use pastels and other techniques. We’ll use the Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and other Chuck Jones characters as inspiration or you may bring your own.
