ā¢ Visalia rolls out updates on shopping cart ordinance (thesungazette.com) ā Visalia officials have doubled fines for repeatedly abandoned shopping carts and will now require new cart-using businesses to install locking containment systems. The updated ordinance, approved at the Aug. 3 council meeting, aims to cut blight, reduce city retrieval costs, and push store owners to better manage carts around neighborhoods and shopping areas.

ā¢ Visalia Elks Lodge to celebrate 10th annual Honor the Badge event (hanfordsentinel.com) ā Visalia first responders and support staff are invited to a free Honor the Badge appreciation lunch at Visalia Elks Lodge #1298 on Tuesday, August 11, 2026.
