• Investigators credit license-plate reader in arrest of juvenile in Vista restaurant shooting (sandiegouniontribune.com) — Investigators say an automated license-plate reader helped track down a juvenile suspected of firing into a crowded restaurant on Vista Village Drive, slightly injuring a diner at 2N1 Korean BBQ. The Oceanside teen was arrested with an unserialized firearm, and deputies later found the vehicle believed to be involved. Residents with information are urged to contact the Vista sheriff's station or Crime Stoppers.
