Join us for a fun, hands-on sewing class where you'll learn how to make your very own tote bag from scratch. Whether you've never touched a sewing machine or just need a refresher, this class is designed for true beginners of all ages.
What you'll learn:
- How to thread a sewing machine
- How to wind a bobbin
- Sewing a straight stitch
- How to pivot a corner
This class is a prerequisite for Class 2. Please complete Learn to Sew: Machine Basics, Sew a Tote Bag before registering for the next level
**This class occurs during a Museum Event - The October Tractor Show. Upon arrival, check in at the ticket booth and show them your class ticket / registration email confirmation. The Assembly Building will be on your left as you enter the grounds**
AGSEM Class Registration — Cancellation & Reschedule Policy
Due to the limited class sizes and the nonprofit nature of the Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum’s educational programs, all class registration fees are non-refundable.
Class Reschedule Requests
- One (1) class reschedule per registration may be permitted at no charge if requested at least seven (7) days prior to the scheduled class date.
- Reschedule requests made less than seven (7) days before the class date will not be accommodated.
- Rescheduled registrations are subject to class availability.
- Additional reschedule requests for the same registration will not be permitted.
No-Shows
Registrants who do not attend their scheduled class and have not contacted AGSEM in advance forfeit their registration fee and reschedule eligibility.
Cancellation by AGSEM
If AGSEM cancels a class for any reason, including insufficient enrollment or unforeseen circumstances, registrants will be offered either:
- A transfer to another available class date, or
- A full refund.
AGSEM reserves the right to cancel or reschedule classes as necessary.
By completing registration, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this policy.
