BREAKING: Power Outage Impacting 101 Walnut Creek Customers

The outage was first reported to PG&E around 6:24 p.m.

Pacific Gas & Electric is reporting on their outage map that 101 customers in Walnut Creek are without power this morning.

The outage started at 6:24 p.m. Monday and PG&E estimates power will be restored by about 8:30 a.m. According to the website, a transformer is being blamed for the outage.

The outage is one of several that occurred last night in the East Bay. In El Cerrito, a squirrel is believed to have caused an outage for about 45,000 customers. In the Tri-Valley, more than 7,000 customers were without power for several hours following a day of triple digit heat.
