The Writing Hour is a (free) monthly, in-person gathering for moms who write—or have always wanted to. There's no critique, no pressure to share, and no publishing experience required.
Some members journal, while others are working on memoirs, thrillers, fantasy or blog posts. Every kind of writer is welcome.
Our next Writing Hour is coming up on July 19 from 1 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. We have room for a few more writers. Every Writing Hour follows a simple format: we start with intros, write for an hour and then wrap up and mingle.
We usually meet on the third Sunday afternoon of each month in downtown Walnut Creek. I keep the group small—just 12 people—so it stays welcoming and intimate.
Our writers love the accountability of the group, getting some much needed “mama time,” and the community!
