Camel Therapy: Animals Brighten Day For Rehab Patients (SEE)
Exotic animals, including a camel, brightened the day for patients at John Muir Health.

WALNUT CREEK, CA — Rehabilitation patients at John Muir Health's Walnut Creek medical center enjoyed the company of some exotic therapy animals from Lyon Ranch Therapy Animals of Sonoma earlier this fall.
The Rehabilitation Unit at John Muir Health has used animal-assisted therapy to benefit patients for more than 20 years. Patients recovering from a range of injuries and illnesses from strokes to cancer to brain injuries to neuromuscular disorders look forward to the pet therapy visits.
The most photogenic: Humphrey the camel.
