If someone tries to sell you some Stretch memorabilia, let the buyer beware.
Police are on the lookout for a man who stole a Hyundai Sonata from the parking lot of McDonald's on North California Boulevard on Monday and came away with a lot of gear in the name of legendary San Francisco Giants first baseman Willie McCovey, a baseball Hall of Famer whose name graces a popular downtown Walnut Creek restaurant.
Police released the security photo of the man, a white male in his late 20s or early 30s, 5-foot-10, thin build, with a shaved head and goatee. On Monday when the McDonald's camera captured him, the suspect was wearing a tan button-down shirt with green pants. He carried a black backpack.
