Coming up in Walnut Creek: Spring Plant Sale

Great deals and hundreds of different plant types to make gardens shine

The rains have softened and nourished the ground, and temperatures are warming which means it’s the perfect time to start filling up your garden with new plants. On Saturday, April 29 visit The Gardens at Heather Farm from 8am to noon to find some fantastic plants at great prices.

Got your eye on some Penstemon, Salvia, or Geranium? Envisioning a yard filled with African Daisy, Lavender, and Columbine? Well, if you’ve checked the local garden retailer ads, you might be a little nervous about paying so much for sprucing up your yards — but never fear! Our plants cultivated by our in-house propagation team are being sold for much less than regular retail price.

Featuring over 200 unique plant species and varieties available such as California Natives, Shrubs, Groundcovers, Perennials, Grasses, Ferns, Annuals, Succulents and more. Highlights include:

Garden Manager, Jere Peck and a crew of garden volunteers will be on hand to share tips and answer questions. All proceeds benefit the ongoing maintenance of our free public garden and our education programs for children and adults.

About The Gardens at Heather Farm
The Gardens at Heather Farm (GHF) is an independent nonprofit organization which operates a six-acre public garden, education center and special event venue. A Certified Wildlife Habitat and Certified Green Business, GHF is self-supporting through memberships, fundraisers, grants, private donations, facility rentals and program fees. The mission is to enrich the community through the beauty and environmental stewardship of our gardens while providing educational programs and a variety of venues for social and cultural events.
