WALNUT CREEK, CA — Contra Costa County is stuck on the state's coronavirus "Watch List" for the time being, meaning that there can be no further loosening of restrictions. The problem is a state computer glitch. The news comes as Walnut Creek experiences another death.

CoCo health officials added a disclaimer to the county's coronavirus web page that reads, "The State electronic system is experiencing delays in processing test results. Consequently, case, testing and positivity rate data is temporarily incomplete. As a result, the State has postponed any movement of counties “on” or “off” the watch list until this is resolved."

As Contra Costa is currently on the list, it is stuck until the problem is fixed.
