Coronavirus Cases Top 1,000 In Contra Costa
Just 16 new cases were reported on Friday, but it was enough to send the county's total over 1,000 since the start of testing.
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY — The number of confirmed cases of coronavirus in Contra Costa County reached 1,014 on Friday, according to health officials, as 16 new cases were announced.
The number of deaths did not increase. It remains at 29.
People hospitalized for complications of COVID-19, the illness caused by coronavirus, is now just 16. A chart prepared by the county shows a steady decline in hospitalizations over the past several weeks.
