Daffodil Hill is in Full Bloom

A seasonal memorial garden donated by Carla Preisler

Mother Nature couldn't be rushed! The Daffodil Hill project planted by The Gardens at Heather Farm (GHF) last fall is finally in full bloom. Beautiful enough to inspire poetry, the Daffodil has long been a symbol of prosperity and new beginnings, often signaling the "rebirth" that follows the end of winter. The rows and rows of Daffodils were expected in mid-January, but sometimes you have to wait for a good thing. Stop by GHF, located at 1540 Marchbanks Drive in Walnut Creek, for a stroll to see them cascading down the hill between the grove of ash trees and the shade garden.

The Daffodil Hill project was made possible thanks to a generous donation by GHF Member, Carla Preisler. The planting of 5000 Daffodil (Narcissus tazetta) bulbs of three different varieties was completed in the heart of the garden in memory of Carla’s husband.
