WALNUT CREEK, CA — What are your weekend plans? How about a hike at Acalanes Ridge Open Space in Walnut Creek? It's part of the John Muir Land Trust, and has a really cool historical feature — two giant concrete arrows. They were first installed in 1924 at the request of the Postal Service to guide pilots who were part of the brand new air mail service.
