Anyone Can Prune- Master Gardeners Lecture

“Anyone Can Prune”

Free lecture teaches homeowners how to prune the roses in their gardens in preparation for winter

On Wednesday, October 12, the Contra Costa Master Gardeners will present a free, two-hour lecture on Anyone Can Prune.  The lecture will be held from 6:30 to 8:00 PM at the Walnut Creek Library, located at 1644 N. Broadway in Walnut Creek.  Join us in the 2nd floor Oak View Room to learn how to prune your roses and give them the care they need in preparation for winter.

CCMG Lorraine Frey will expertly guide the audience through the steps they should take now to keep their roses healthy during the cooler months of the year.  Pruning techniques will be thoroughly covered, with—as always—an emphasis on environmentally responsible and sustainable gardening practices.  Plenty of time will be allowed for questions following the lecture.  Attendees will leave with the knowledge necessary to ensure their rose gardens bloom as beautifully as possible next spring.

The lecture is free and open to the public.  Advance registration is not necessary, but is suggested.  Register here:  http://tinyurl.com/anyone-can-prune
