Diablo Ballet presents the world premiere of Tears From Above, the new dance work by Val Caniparoli, choreographer of San Francisco Ballet. Set to a cello duet by Australian composer Elena Kats-Chernin, the piece features an Asian theme and will be accompanied by live, on-stage musicians.

Also presented will be the West Coast premiere of Dominic Walsh's Le Spectre de la Rose. Walsh was recently named one of the top "25 to Watch" by Dance Magazine. The program also features the sizzling contemporary dance work Fluctuating Hemlines, by Septime Webre, Artistic Director of Washington Ballet. Set to an explosive percussion piece, this dance will also feature live, on-stage music.
Ticket holders are invited to attend Diablo Ballet's exclusive, pre-performance cocktail parties, featuring complimentary appetizers and drink specials. The Friday 11/18 party will be held 6 -7 PM at Residual Sugar Wine Bar (1684 Locust St) and the Saturday 11/19 party will be 6 - 7 PM at Prima Ristorante (1522 N. Main Street).

Following both evening performances, patrons are invited to Diablo Ballet's Coffee Talks at Massimo Ristorante (1604 Locust St.). These casual, post-show meet ups provide you with a complimentary cup of coffee and a chance to meet and talk with Diablo Ballet dancers and artistic staff about the performance.
