
Bay Area’s premier flute choir will perform old favorites and new works.
On Tuesday, November 15, Flock of Flutes will present a free performance at the Walnut Creek Library. The performance will take place from 7:00 to 8:00 PM. Join us in the 2nd floor Oak View Room to hear a broad variety of works performed by flutists from across the Bay Area.
Flock of Flutes will perform a variety of selections from its broad repertoire, which includes traditional classical pieces, jazz arrangements, and even new works written specifically for flute choir. Composers from J.S. Bach to Mozart to George Gershwin will be among those whose works are featured. Music lovers of all ages and tastes will find something to enjoy in the course of the program.

Flock of Flutes director Monica Williams will conduct the performance. A graduate of Eastman School of Music, Williams has performed with orchestras in Rochester NY, Cincinnati OH, and Chicago IL; and has toured Europe and the United States. In addition to directing and conducting Flock of Flutes, Monica is a member of several contemporary chamber ensembles in the Bay Area, including Phoenix Rising.
