If you missed the Kindergarten Evaluation at The Dorris-Eaton School on February 4, there is still one more on the calendar for Saturday, February 25. Reservations are required, so please call the school at 925.933.5225 to request an evaluation and/or a campus tour.
The Dorris-Eaton School’s Kindergarten provides an environment for each student to experience success and develop a positive self-image and an appreciation for learning. The morning is usually scheduled for academic pursuits; the afternoon for enrichment. In addition to the
regular academics, the School is interested in each student developing good listening skills and the ability to follow directions and to be accurate and responsible.
Currently all Kindergarten students play the violin as part of the music curriculum. This expansion of the music program was implemented nearly two years ago when the
current First Graders were entering Kindergarten. The evidence of just one benefit to the increased finger dexterity is posted on the walls of the First Grade classrooms with their outstanding writing samples that show beautiful lettering by these little hands.
