Mom & The City

We all know the storyline – four single women living in New York, dressed in Prada and Jimmy Choo heels, heading out to the hottest show at New York’s Fashion Week. But what happens when these women become pregnant, move to the San Francisco Bay Area and head out in search of a fun evening? Well, they celebrate their pregnancies at John Muir Health’s annual Mom & the City soirée.

This premier East Bay event celebrates all future moms-to-be in the area. This year’s event features nationally acclaimed author Kristine Carlson, who captivated readers worldwide with her bestsellers, “Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff in Love” and “Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff for Women”. Expanding on the phenomenal success of her late husband Dr. Richard Carlson’s work, (Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff series), Kristine continues to share the “Don’t Sweat” philosophy in a celebration of mothers everywhere, while promoting her new book “Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff for Moms.”

Expectant families will have the opportunity to mingle over pregnancy-friendly drinks and hors d'oeuvres, enjoy pampering stations, tour the amazing Family Birth Center at John Muir Health, have the opportunity to win gifts and raffle prizes and find out the latest pregnancy and post-baby styles with a mini-fashion show. Guests will also have the chance to attend a book signing and meet-and-greet with Kristine, who will donate signed copies of the books to the event and to mothers who deliver at John Muir Health on Mother’s Day.
