A playful tale set in a make-believe town where flirting is a capital offence, The Mikado is a satire on Victorian British society. When the Mikado demands the execution of Ko-Ko, Nanki-Poo volunteers to take Ko-Ko’s place under the condition that he first be allowed to marry his fiancée. Chaos, desperation, and comical mayhem ensue.
Live orchestra, gorgeous sets and costumes, and the amazing voices of the Lamplighters – long considered one of the best Gilbert & Sullivan producers in the world!
