In honor of the 150th anniversay of the start of the Civil War, this year's Veterans Day celebration in Walnut Creek will be at the Lesher Center for the Arts (1601 Civic Drive). The event is free.
The ceremony will feature a specially produced presentation of Civil War stories, a welcome address from Mayor Cindy Silva and a musical presentation by the Walnut Creek Concert Band.
