Kaiser Permanente announces more than $750k in grants to local organizations serving community

Grants will go to 29 non-profit organizations that improve the health of under-served communities.

Kaiser Permanente in the Diablo Area is awarding $756,424 in grants to 29 non-profit
organizations that improve the health of under-served communities in Central
and East Contra Costa County, and the Tri-Valley area of Alameda County.

Kaiser Permanente Community Benefit grants are awarded every year to local
organizations working on specific programs and projects that align with Kaiser
Permanente’s missions and goals.

The Diablo grantmaking program supports local non-profit, public health, and human service
organizations by investing in programs with a focus on improving access to care
and coverage; mental health and wellness; and Healthy Eating Active Living.

“Helping create healthy communities is our mission” says Molly Bergstrom, community benefit
manager for Kaiser Permanente’s Diablo Service Area. “Our Community Benefit
program allows us to reach out and support those that are helping to make a
positive impact in the communities we serve.”
