Meet Walnut Creek's New Economic Development Manager
Ethan Bindernagel has served as interim Economic Development manager since January and will lead the economic development efforts.

Walnut Creek, CA -- Ethan Bindernagel has been announced as Walnut Creek's new Economic Development manager after taking over the role on an interim basis in January. He will be replacing former Economic Development manager Ron Gerber.
One of the important focuses of Bindernagel's role will be transforming the Shadelands business center by partnering with business leaders to convert it into a robust jobs and innovation center. He will also work to attract a boutique hotel to the downtown area.
Bindernagel, who joined Walnut Creek in 2006, previously worked in a variety of capacities at the Community and Economic Development Department. He coordinated the specific plan process for the 25 acres at the corner of Ygnacio Valley and Oak Grove Roads, resulting in The Orchards town center project.
