No New Deaths To Report In Contra Costa: Coronavirus

The number of new cases has also taken a downturn. However, the California death toll is approaching 1,300.

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY — If you are looking for a glimmer of hope that the coronavirus nightmare may eventually end, it arrived in Tuesday's daily report from Contra Costa Health Services. The health department reported no new deaths, and just 12 new laboratory confirmed cases of COVID-19, caused by coronavirus.

The total number of cases diagnosed in the county now stands at 749, with deaths frozen at 22.

There are 34 people hospitalized for complications of COVID-19.

Looking at broader numbers from Johns Hopkins University, at 2:45 p.m. Tuesday California reported 1,282 deaths and 35,465 confirmed cases.
