Sakimoto Sushi To Open In Walnut Creek With A5 Wagyu On Menu
The sushi lounge will have an extensive menu including A5 Wagyu steaks, ribeyes, nigiri, sashimi, crudo, rolls, and more.
WALNUT CREEK, CA — Sakimoto Sushi Lounge will open in Walnut Creek Tuesday, and diners will be treated to far more than a California roll.
If your mouth is watering for a fine steak, the restaurant will serve A5 Wagyu, the highest quality rating for Japanese Wagyu beef. Sakimoto will be the only restaurant in Walnut Creek offering A5 Wagyu, according to manager Haven Piatt, and one of the few in Northern California. "There may be one or two places in San Francisco where you can get it, but no more. You have to have connections to get A5."
Piatt credits one of the restaurant's chefs, whom he identified only as Chef Mark, with having the connections that allows the new restaurant to open its doors with A5 graded beef.
