SILVER ALERT UPDATE: Search Still On For Missing Woman From Walnut Creek
The 74 year old who only speaks Russian went missing Friday.
The Contra Costa County Search and Rescue unit is now assisting with search for a missing woman from Walnut Creek, police said in a statement this morning.
A Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office helicopter was deployed Saturday night above the city assisting in the search for the elderly female, police said.
The 74 year-old woman with dementia and health problems walked away from her apartment in downtown Walnut Creek on Friday.

Her name is Valentina Matyushina, and she only speaks Russian.
