Suspects Sought In Jewelry Store Theft In Walnut Creek

Police released a surveillance video from King's Jewelers on N. California Boulevard to aid with an identification. Recognize the man?

WALNUT CREEK, CA – Police are seeking a man and woman in connection with a theft at a Walnut Creek jewelry store.

A man entered King’s Jewelers, 1501 N. California Blvd., on Oct. 12 at about 2:55 p.m. and asked to see a loose jewel, according to the Walnut Creek Police Department. After the store employee handed him the gem, the subject reportedly fled the shop and jumped into a waiting vehicle, a green, late-'90s model, two-door Saturn with “Lasher” paper plates and being driven by a white woman.

The man was described as white, thin, in his 20s with wavy, black hair and wearing a white button-up shirt and black pants. No description was available for the female accomplice.

Police did not disclose the value or type of stone stolen, but did release a surveillance video to possibly help with an identification.
