Walnut Creek Police Search For Wallet Thieves

They've struck at least three times at Walnut Creek restaurants. The suspects immediately go on shopping sprees.

WALNUT CREEK, CA — Walnut Creek Police have released surveillance photos and a video of two women they say are responsible for stealing wallets in downtown Walnut Creek.

The thefts happened between July 27 and August 5.

There are three victims that police know about.

All of the thefts took place in Walnut Creek restaurants.

When releasing the video, police said, "As you can see in the video, one suspect steals the wallet out of the purse of an unsuspecting customer while the other one watches. Immediately after stealing the wallets, the duo begins using the credit cards at nearby businesses and at Sun Valley Mall in Concord."
