Woman, Horse Killed in Walnut Creek
The accident happened in Shell Ridge Open Space. (Breaking)

WALNUT CREEK, CA — A woman and her horse were killed Tuesday in a horseback riding accident in Shell Ridge Open Space in Walnut Creek. The victim has been identified as 64-year-old Cynthia Naboisek of Benicia.
Walnut Creek spokeswoman Gayle Vassar said the accident was reported to police and the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District at 3:06 p.m. Naboisek was pronounced dead at 1035 Castle Rock Road, when paramedics found her.
The horse died after it fell off a trail and into a ravine. Animal Control was called to retrieve the horse's remains.

Vassar said there was no sign of foul play.
