Ygnacio Valley Road Reopens After Serious Injury Crash In Walnut Creek
A driver was hospitalized after hitting a parked public works truck Wednesday morning, police said.
WALNUT CREEK, CA — A motorist was seriously injured following a collision that closed a stretch of Ygnacio Valley Road Wednesday morning in Walnut Creek, according to authorities.
The crash was reported at approximately 8:30 a.m. on eastbound Ygnacio Valley at Oak Grove Road, as a vehicle hit the back of a parked public works truck while workers were doing improvements to the road, the Walnut Creek Police Department said.
The driver was taken to the hospital, and no other injuries were reported, police said.

Officers closed Ygnacio Valley between Oak Grove and Cowell Road during their investigation. The roadway was reopened around 11:30 a.m.
