Brush Fire In Southern Monterey County Contained
Fire officials said the blaze burned about 82 acres.
MONTEREY COUNTY, CA — A grass fire that burned Monday in the southern part of Monterey County was fully contained, fire officials said. At 9:17 p.m. Monday, officials from Cal Fire announced on social media that the fire was 100 percent contained and burned 82 acres.
The fire was located near the intersection of Cross Country and Portuguese Canyon roads near the unincorporated Monterey County community of Parkfield. Firefighters remained on the scene to extinguish hotspots, fire officials said.
